Hello!
If there is one thing I love about the post-Christmas celebrations, it is the new books I have on my shelves whether I’ve been gifted them or I’ve bought them myself with a Waterstones voucher. I always associate books with Christmas and this past holiday has certainly been no different.
I’ve a good few books that I’m really excited to now own and I would love nothing more than to share them all with you!
Gifted by Family

The Left-Handed Booksellers of London by Garth Nix
Sorcerer to the Crown by Zen Cho
A Secret History of Witches by Louisa Morgan
The Tropic of Serpents by Marie Brennan (book 2 in the Lady Trent memoirs)
Waterstones Gift Card Books

One August Night by Victoria Hislop
Before The Coffee Gets Cold by Toshikazu Kawaguchi
Before The Coffee Gets Cold: Tales From the Café by Toshikazu Kawaguchi
Presents to myself:

The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R Tolkien (including The Hobbit)
As I said above, I’m rather happy and excited about all of these. Most of all, I’ll be glad to continue reading and experiencing The Lord of the Rings the way I need to read it.

Did you receive or get any books over the Christmas period?
Thanks for reading and have a brazzle dazzle day!
xx
These look like some great books! I need to get started on the Lady Trent series, it looks like something I’d enjoy a lot.

Yeah, I’m hoping I enjoy the second book just as much as the first. I think it is shaping up to be an interesting series.

Your haul looks so good! I have so many of these books on my tbr – especially Sorcerer to the Crown. And I wanted to try the audiobook of The Left-Handed Booksellers of London by Garth Nix. I too associate books with holidays & just generally good things. I have this habit of visiting bookshops for a pick me up when I’m feeling down.

Yeah I’m excited to read them all. I have that habit too and having to book shop online due to the pandemic and lockdowns just isn’t the same.

I’ve not long finished reading The Left-Handed Booksellers of London but I rather liked it. It is encouraging me to look at the Abhorsen series which I’ve heard good things about over the years.

I wasn’t a fan of The Hobbit when I read it, but it was 4/5 years ago and I know my tastes have changed so I hope I can enjoy it more this time round.

The only book I have read among these is The Hobbit and I really enjoyed it. I hope you love it to too.
