Spring Solstice: Books With Spring Coloured Covers

Spring is upon us! The season I both adore and loathe. It is when all my favourite flowers bloom again, when I see new life in the nearby fields, and when there is more natural daylight to enjoy. It’s simply unfortunate that it also brings along the allergies. Yuck. Anyway, I didn’t start writing to ramble about Spring as a season. I came to talk about books with spring-like covers. The colours that when you see them, make you think about Spring.

When I think of Spring colours, I instantly think of pastel hues of pink, green, blue, yellow, purple…. coincidentally colours I would use when knitting or crocheting a baby blanket. They’re light and fresh, but not too bright that they’re almost summery.

Glancing at my shelves, it appears I don’t have that many books with these kinds of colours on the covers but I have just enough to write a post about them! Yay! Ramble over, let’s see them!

The Tearling Trilogy by Erika Johansen

Before The Coffee Gets Cold & Tales From The Cafe by Toshikazu Kawaguchi, translated by Geoffrey Trousellot

The Forever House and A Family Recipe by Veronica Henry

The Clockmaker’s Daughter by Kate Morton

Songe à la douceur by Clémentine Beauvais

Wing Jones by Katherine Webber

That’s ten pastel books whose covers give me those Spring vibes.

I’m sad I don’t have more so maybe this is a shout out to cover designers to bring out more Adult fiction and fantasy books with pastel covers because I need them to break up the monotony of dark blues and blacks. Please!

What books give you spring vibes?

As always, thanks for reading and have a brazzle dazzle day!

Hello, I’m Emma aka pageturner92, and welcome to my little corner of the online book world. When I don’t have my head in a book, I’m either working on an endless pile of crochet or knitting projects, playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons, listening to Disney music, or watching my favourite shows on repeat.
