No, this isn’t a December book tag being written and published early, despite the fact when I last did this tag it was December.
This time I’m doing it at the right time of the year which, looking at some of the questions, is around the start of Autumn. It was created by Ariel Bissett over on YT so go and check out her original video from a couple of years ago.
Questions
Are there any books you started this year that you need to finish?

Yes, Shadow in the Glass by JJA Harwood.
I’ve already talked a few times about why I initially DNFed this book so I don’t think I need to go into it again. However I do want to pick it back up again so maybe that will be before the end of the year, who knows?
Do you have an autumnal book to transition you into the end of the year?
At the time I’m writing this I’m currently reading The Animals at Lockwood Manor by Jane Healey and the atmospheric surroundings, plus the gothic, dark nature of the mystery give off an autumnal vibe.
Is there a new release you’re still waiting for?
Yes, I’m waiting patiently for the paperback of Bloodwitch by Susan Dennard. I know the hardback is already out but all my editions of the series are in paperback and that’s how I want to keep the series.
What are three books you want to read before the end of the year?
I don’t really have anything set in stone but I’d like to hope I can get through some of the mysteries on my shelves or kindle, such as:
Is there a book you think could still shock you and become your favourite book of the year?
I don’t know, maybe one of the books I’ve mentioned above.
Have you already started making reading plans for 2022?
No. I’m not the type of person who can make plans about what I read and when. I’m better just seeing where my books and reading mood take me at the time.

You’re welcome. You’re also in luck as I finished reading it a couple of days ago and rather liked it. I don’t think it will be to everyone’s taste though.

Thanks for tagging me! When I saw this tag title, I have to admit I was thinking ‘why is it an end of year tag?!’ but when I read the intro to the post, I understood why! There are definitely quite a few books I want to read before the end of the year that I’ll have to include in my post. I hope you can get a paperback copy of Bloodwitch soon!

You’re welcome, and oops, I should probably edit that title. It is rather misleading!
