Hello!
I’m back today with a TAG I came across on Kira Jeanette‘s blog – a spooky variation of the “Would You Rather/This or That” kind of tag that is absolutely perfect for October and Halloween. It was originally created by The Book Pusher on YouTube so go and check out both posts/videos.
Thrillers or Supernatural?
Whilst I will read the odd thriller, I’m more inclined to reach for the supernatural as it obviously has the fantasy element I’m always after in books and there is a lot of depth and atmosphere to play around with.
Ghosts or zombies?
I don’t really read gravitate towards either of these supernatural beings in fiction but if I had to pick one it would probably be ghosts.
Vampires or werewolves?
I was never really bothered by the whole vampire/werewolf debate that came out following Twilight and I’m still not but I do tend to prefer books or shows with vampires. If every book and show could have ‘A Discovery of Witches’ vampires then I’ll be happy.
Witches or demons?
Witches all the way!
Would you rather read a book with 13 chapters or a book with a black cat on the cover?
I don’t really believe in either superstition to be honest but as I tend to read books longer than 13 chapters, I’ll go with a black cat on the front cover.
Would you rather read a spooky book in the dark with only a candle for light or by yourself in a locked brightly lit room?
I think I’d go for a spooky book in the dark because then if I needed to go somewhere else at least I have the freedom to move about. Being in a locked room would scare me more.
Would you rather face your worst fears or be trapped in the mind of a killer?
I think I’d rather face my worst fears because at least I’d be free of them afterwards.
Would you rather watch a scary film or read a scary book?
I’m incredibly picky when it comes to films and I’d never watch anything horror-esque so I’d rather read a scary book.
Would you rather read spooky books during Autumn or all year?
I find I do gravitate more towards the spooky books during Autumn, but I’d happily read them all the year round.
Would you rather read 10 spooky books in October or 10 spooky books all year?
I’m not the type of person who can read 10 books in a month anymore so I think I’d go for 10 spooky books all year. I also like to space out my spooky books with other reads so it would probably be more practical for me.

I’m going to leave it open for everyone to join in!
Thanks for reading and have a brazzle dazzle day!
xx

I agree, being locked in somewhere and unable to leave sounds a lot scarier than reading by candlelight. Fun tag!

I’m so glad you decided to do the tag! I haven’t seen one person yet who actually believes/has a proper answer for the superstition question!
