We all love a good unhaul. We all, or if not most of us, find ourselves parting with books over the years so we have the space to bring in newer and more up to date reads. I know I’m regularly adding books to an unhaul pile (currently stacks of boxes in the spare bedroomContinue reading “Unhauled Books I’ve Reshelved”
It’s Tag time again and this time I’m coming to you with the Anonymous Bookaholics Book Tag!
Hello! Hope everyone is doing okay! Today I’m coming to you with my version of the Mid-Year Book Catch up tags that float around at the moment. My reading so far this year doesn’t really fit into the main tag so I thought it would be better to have my own prompts and go fromContinue reading “Mid-Year Book Catch Up”
I was nominated for the Aesthete Blogger Award by Rebecca at Bex The Bibliophile a couple of months ago and I’m always taken aback when nominated for things like this so thank you! I don’t know about you but I certainly have a selection of songs that have helped me to not completely give in to the spiralling nature of the pandemic: Trip a Little Light Fantastic from Mary Poppins Returns, Try Everything from Zootopia/Zootropolis, One Day More from Les Miserables, and Seize The Day from Newsies. InContinue reading “Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Books: Seize The Day”
Spring is upon us! The season I both adore and loathe. It is when all my favourite flowers bloom again, when I see new life in the nearby fields, and when there is more natural daylight to enjoy. It’s simply unfortunate that it also brings along the allergies. Yuck. Anyway, I didn’t start writing toContinue reading “Spring Solstice: Books With Spring Coloured Covers”
In every book we read there will be a section, paragraph, or line that sticks with us. It’s what makes us remember the book, the story and the feelings it left us with. Across quite a few books I’ve read recently there are some quotes I can’t stop thinking about and feel important to meContinue reading “Stand Out Quotes From Recent Reads”
